Moegi-no-yu” is an easy 10-minute walk from Okutama Station. It is a 100% natural hot spring that gushes from the “Kosei layer,” which is said to be the oldest geological formation in Japan. 29 liters of hot spring water per minute is drawn from a formation 600 meters below the ground.
It is recommended to stop by on your way home from sightseeing such as cycling or mountain climbing. At the restaurant, you can taste river fish dishes grown in the clear streams of Okutama.
This is a popular spot where you can enjoy the view of the deep green forest and soak in the clear, colorless, thick water for the most pleasant time.
