OZAWA SHUZO（Ozawa Brewery）
Ozawa Shuzo is the brewer of Sawanoi, a sake with a history of over 300 years, located in Ome City, Tokyo. Located in the Chichibu-Tama-Kai National Park, the area is rich in nature. The Sawai area is a famous water village called Sawanoi because of its clear and abundant water, and the name of the sake, Sawanoi, is derived from the name of the area. The brewery has won numerous awards at international competitions, including the President’s Award at “kuramaster2021” and the Gold Award at “Milan Sake Challenge 2023,” and is introducing the appeal of sake to the world.
The Ozawa Sake Brewery offers sake brewery tours, an open garden “Sawanoi-en” overlooking the clear waters of the Tama River, restaurants such as the homemade tofu and yuba restaurant “Magotoya,” and other facilities such as a museum, where visitors can experience sake culture, history, and various ways to enjoy sake.
This is a brewery that sake fans should not miss, continuing the tradition and innovation of sake brewing in the rich natural environment of Ome, known as the “back seat” of Tokyo.
