Beekeepers collect, produce, and sell seasonal flower honey in the Tama area

Honeybee Farm, located in a vast rural landscape that one would not expect to find in Tokyo, is a comprehensive facility that includes a honey studio, honey sales office and museum, café, and apiary run by beekeeper Hiroshi Inukai, who has bee farms in the mountains of Akiruno City and Hachioji City.

Mr. Inukai focuses on honey, propolis, royal jelly, and other ingredients that are effective for improving health, and develops products for the health of many people. He has established a sales office for homemade honey and a museum where visitors can learn about beekeeping and honey bees. Currently, about 150 beehives are set up in the Nishitama area to collect honey from the flowers of Tama each season. Honey collected from natural flowers is characterized by its fragrance and mild sweetness.

In addition to homemade honey, the sales counter sells honey from overseas, propolis and other health foods, etc. The museum has beekeeping tools and bee-related panel displays, allowing visitors to learn about beekeeping in a casual manner. The museum also offers hands-on activities such as honey taste tests and bee yard tours.

At the adjoining café, visitors can enjoy sweets and drinks made with homemade honey. The most recommended item is the homemade gelato, which is sweetened only with honey, without any sugar! The best part is the homemade gelato, which is made without sugar and sweetened only with honey!

This is a wonderful spot that the whole family can enjoy. How about a spring outing?
